The Chelan Ranger District encompasses approximately 377,000 acres and extends from near the town of Chelan at the eastern end of Lake Chelan to the Cascade Crest in the Glacier Peak Wilderness and bordering North Cascades National Park. The district is bordered on the north by the Sawtooth Mountains and the Methow Valley District and on the south by the Chelan Mountains and the Entiat Ranger District.
While the 55 mile Lake Chelan is one of our main attractions, recreationists can find miles of maintained trails for hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, and motorcycling. Check out our unique 15 Federal boat-in campgrounds on Lake Chelan for a true up lake experience.
